Taxi safety
Every year thousands of people fall victim to con taxi drivers. However, there are many safety measures that can protect us from future, inexpected losses.
What characterises an illegal taxi?
- charge is taken for a kilometer, but without a fixed price,
- the car does not meet requirements necessary to provide this kind of service,
- the taxi driver does not have a licence – that is suitable qualifications and training,
- he does not own a driving licence,
- he runs his activity without insurance of passengers and luggage,
- he does not pay taxes.
Furthermore, taxi driver's services should be spurned if:
- the taxi driver seems to be intoxicated,
- does not know the area,
- the car is not in a good working order.
Furthermore, every potential client should remember that if in need he has right to demand a proof of service in form of a receipt, bill or invoice to make a payment. If he does not receive such a proof, he is not obligated to make a payment.
