A new record at Katowice International Airport
This year, August was similar to the previous month, as more than 300 thousand passengers took advantage of the service of Katowice International Airport in Pyrzowice.
312 277 passengers checked in at Katowice Airport in Pyrzowice for two consecutive months. This is as much as 11% more compared with the corresponding period last year.
Last year in August the amount of passengers using the charter flights was smaller than nowadays by 25%, whereas scheduled flights were smaller by 2.5%. Statistics indicate that 2.4 million passengers will have checked in by the end of the year at Katowice International Airport.
Successively, charter airlines at Katowice Airport have flown more passengers than scheduled carrier – Wizz Air.
